door cards

I have managed to get hold of a near mint set of black door cards for the Merde Blanc, but both my mirrors have remotes for them and only one of the door cards does (drivers). Should I remove the remote thing or cut a hole in the card.

I need to check but I think the n/s door panel has got the cut out pre-punched but still in place ?
