It has come to my attention that "disgruntled" paid up members have complained to Phil Teear (club chairman) that they do not agree with non-members being allowed to advertise items for sale on this site !

I must make this point very clear !

Whilst this site carries the RS MKII Escort Club name, the club makes no financial contribution towards the registering, running, upkeep and software processing of the website and more importantly this Bulletin Board.

I personally run the website with my own money, software, web space etc for the benefit of the club, its members and its guests.

This BB has not followed the path of many other "car" BB's and turned into a mud slinging and name calling waste of space and I will not allow that to happen.

If you are a "disgruntled" paid-up member then please write a letter of complaint to the quarterly magazine Opposite Lock (funded by your membership fee's !!) and voice your opinions there or continue to enjoy this FREE 24hrs a day 7 days a week 365 days a year website and maybe even buy off the people who want to sell their RS goodies here.

Rant over - your thoughts please.

p.s. Donations are NOT required - just enjoy - lol lol lol

Agreed dave, if i want to buy a part of somebody i'm not bothered if they're a member or not. I used this bb for a long while before joining the club and i'm sure it's the same for many others. Don't see the problem myself. keep up the good work dave!!

The more the merrier I think. Dave has done a fantastic job with this site and long may this continue. This site has done a great job for the club in raising it's profile amongst MK11 owners and has hopefully encouraged other people into joining. I have a saying of "Why preach to the converted" Cause if it was a "Closed" B/Board then it would just be the same old people making the same old comments time after time and would become boring and in time would die! We need to encourage not discourage the MK11 fan be they members or not. Vive le board...................... RANT OVER!

this BB has been a god send for me, i live in Cumbria where the sheep outnumber the people and the MK2 RS is a very rare thing indeed.
Its been of great help for technical advice and swapping parts and making contact with like mined people. I dont see any need for it to be restricted to members only as that just excludes the occasional visitor who might need some help or might have a tasty part for sale..... OOOPS just fallen of my soap box.
keep up the good work Dave your doing a top job

I am new poster to this site and am currently not a member but I have view it for a while, and reading alot of the info here has helped me to hunt down my RS2K. You should incourage people like me to join and not shut us out else the club will not grow, as we are unlikely to part with money when we don't know what the product is like.
Keep up the good work, must fill out that membership form
