Am toying with doing 2 things to the Mex over the winter. Firstly, Thinking of getting rid of the black surround on the rear panel (ALA RS2) and having it done as should be, all red. Should I keep the black or go back to red?????????
Secondly, I'm thinking of putting my original steering wheel back on with black RS embossed centre. I currently have a Motorsport 4 spoke wheel with genuine boss fitted.
Ah, decisions, decisions??????? What would you lot do?

Easy mate,
Get rid of the black around the lights and keep the 4 spoke wheel
lose the black back panel..paint it red, swap the 4 spoke for a 3 spoke motorsport wheel.
cracking car you have Kev
CheeRS Ders.
no need for the black around the back
looks better without it anyway
steering wheel is up to you, what feels the best , as they are both a good looking wheel
Personally like the black on the back of escorts.
Mine aint got it due to the rear light protectors but did have when it was un arched.
think the back black panel crashes with the stripe, lose the black and keep the wheel

your lucky you only have two decisions to make kev, i'm debating powdercoating rear axle/suspension, 5 speed , vulcan head and cam, lifting car back up 1 ", as its too low, repairing drivers seat......etc etc
as for your car, keep the black panel, you have only just painted the car, no need to bugger it about so soon, do it in a few years when your bored of it, as for steering wheel......? what ever feels nicest, sling some different wheels on it for a while, to change it up a little, but dont change too much, its lush as it is mate, nice pics in CF btw
regards.....lee

Still not sure what to do. Might leave the back panel as I don't want there to be any traces of additional spray near the stripes etc. hmmm, As for the wheel, Going to put my original wheel back on today and then make up my mind.

Johnnie, I love your car. Nothing wrong with it IMO. Just give it a good clean and a tidy up and look forward to next years shows/driving. Wouldn't go too far with it as it doesn't need it.
