THANKS! that is just what i need.I have decoded your plate & this is what i came up with ,if i am wrong (but i think not )please somebody say.
Drive B=right hand drive Engine NE=1993 in-line OHC
Trans B=manual 4 speed Axel A=3.54:1 ratio
Trim P7=chocolate or bitter choc Colour 9 7 =9 signal yellow
7=introdution year of colour at halewood & germany
Type G=germany A=escort T=2 door saloon R=1975 introdution year
A=engine capacity(i think)
vin no G=germany C=saarlouis A=escort T=2 door saloon W=1979
P=december (WP=maufacture date) oo5420=numbering sequence that month but not always in order

does anybody know what the 022B02 at the top means??

engine Number ? I have not even looked yet will have to later

Engine number is last 5-6 digits on the long chassis number=005420 was it? Dont know what number at top is though. Sorry :roll:
