(Taken from an Elvington Airfield website)

and The GIMP has the present owner of Elvington making an official complaint to Javelin Motorsport about The GIMP - lol lol lol

btw - SAC = Strategic Air Command (nuclear bombers B52's etc etc)

Ok here goes

I get called to one side by the head marshall (Colin) and I have a quiet word put into my ear'ole.

"We are getting concerned for the safety of both yourself (me ! - lol) and your passenger.

The way that you are driving is causing us concern and you do not have a roll cage !!.

(I try to argue that I sound a lot faster than I appear to be going - my tyres have no grip etc - lol lol)

The owner of Elvington (who was with myself and Colin at the time) then said the most classic statement I have ever heard "You are damaging the tarmac in the way you are driving round the hairpin"

LOL LOL LOL - Yanks/SAC can land a B52 Bomber but The GIMP can't do the "Wednesbury flick" and take a most unusual line through the hairpin - lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol

The Wednesbury flick were did that come from, he nearly came off the track :lol: when I came out with that one :lol:
