Fitted an in-line resistor between the coil & fusebox to overcome a non starting problem, once started (single box exhaust & twin 45's brought the neighbours out to have a look) the fuel & water temperature gauges failed to work, dash stripped out to find the coil windings on both gauges u/s - spoke to Darran, £30.00 for replacement dash on Monday - a good afternoon, especially as the mother in law failed to arrive !

just got back from trackrod rally in yorks wow some really good mk1 and mk2 escorts being well punished !!!!!!!!! they was plenty of older stuff in the historics and the b.r.c. and a clubman all on the same day (and steve bannister even brought his mk 2 out)

also lepley turned up in his hsr to be tought a lesson ;)

$h1t hot day out can well recommend a watch of the older stuff for some major sideways action for the lads

had to laugh to myself when a red sierra 4x4 retired in front of us at the woodyard :???: looked kinda familar but no yellow starksy and hutch stripe 8-)
think daves is a bit faster tho :lol:

Spent the morning in bed with a hang-over!!!!!! Took the wife driving in the afternoon. VERY SCARY!
