all done and dusted,, reduilt and ready for a good kickin (gets on the dyno tuesday) should be better than before, its running an st170 motor with vvt being used with ric wood head ,dta,45 jenveys,T law manifold,, rebuilt tranx , new gaz gold legs and coil overs at the rear,, new interior and finally got the MSA book sorted (shame it had to have door squares and big flaps) hopin it should got better/corner better than before

st170 motors arnt as straight forward as you would think to fit (not like a zetec) sump and mounts need a tweek, belt set up isnt straight forward, and if you run a big manifold it burns the shit out of every thing

new gaz legs feel sweet on the road (running more caster and camber now and 350 lb fronts and 160 lb slipper springs with 100 lb coilovers at the back) brakes seem better with mintex race pads (shame its all browned up, lack of abuse,, but not for long)

if the motor does good power i might need to go to 16 teeth shafts (we will see how long the old 1s last for)

had new motor drives made and up to date belts for the MSA book

all new gauges, lines , extinguishers , clocks etc makes it look and feel a bit fresher

You can use magnetic door squares. If you want ones that fit the doors and dont look too small, drop me a line. I had to buy a big roll of the stuff to get what I wanted and I have spare...enough to cover a car!!

small facet as a scavange,, and a bentley turbo pump for the high preassure,,

box seams ok ,iam rippin it out today then its back on the dyno asap,, we hav no power outputs as yet,, yesterday was mainly at low ish rpm fuel and ignition and setting the VVT up,, the motor seems sweet, it did a few hour yesterday with no probs ( till box shit out )
gotta keep goin head down arse up ;)

Thats a bummer about the g/box. All the best with the bars test etc when you come to do it mate :)

I putting an ST170 in to mine.
Just stripped the unwanted stuff off it at the moment. What have you done with the sump? I was looking to mod the ST one as i have a WCXM fitted. Think there is more room than a standard one?

I made my old silver top one fit,, but it needed a nip and tuck here and there,,(not sure if a black top rwd sump will fit better or not)
