The scuttle panel of the car and engine bay is in need of a bit of a tidy up,as a few bubbles started to appear from under the windsreen and under the heater bubble.
But when i took the screen out and give a bit of a poke with a screwdriver i never thought it was as bad as it was

Just a shame he isn't the most reliable , cheap price for average parts is acceptable but some of the quality issues are poor. Don't expect a quick turn around on anything you order either. Shame , not a bad bloke otherwise :(

that looks mint mate loving this thread
Looks the nuts . If the engines bored out to 93mm and starts making decent power and those core plugs are not bolted in then they could fly out and fry the engine so watch out for that . :)
Regarding your dry sump pan , it's hard too tell in the pics but it looks like it doesn't have the cut out too clear the steering rack so if that's the case then that's why it doesn't fit . :)

I have changed the sump pan to one with a cut out but its still very close.
Now i have the gearbox in its about 3mm away from the rack
The engine shouldn't move but sounds a bit close on big jumps etc . Maybe you could raise the engine mounts up with slots or something ?

lol , it will sound the nuts . Try some longer trumpets when it's on the dyno as i'm sure those stumpy ones will lose power .
What's the engine spec ? Looks like a 200 block and multi-shim head gasket too me and the porting looks good .

Briefly its a 2.1 cossie crank,steel rods,woosner pistons.12.4:1 comp ratio,multi layer head gasket,custom cams and 45's
Cool , should be pretty lively .
Looks the dogs that like , bet it`ll sound awesome aswell :cool:
That looks awesome.A very interesting thread.
Core plugs won't fly out!?
People use a cast iron water pump off a turbo Yb which produces about 80psi of water pressure at 6000rpm
With the alloy pinto pump you have fitted mike the water pressure is about 55psi at 8000 rpm, and more than enough cooling!
Also the shorter the trumpet/ inlet tract normally would equal more bhp at higher revs!
Longer trumpet/ inlet tract the more low down grunt!
Also choke size is very important, so watch that when she is on rollers
The good things about carbs is that they can self compensate on fueling due to the amount of draw on each cylinder!
Keep us posted how it all goes!
Very interesting . I have a normal pinto water pump and 93mm bore and the core plugs would fly out until i bolted them in . Not sure why but the tuners i spoke to at the time reckoned it's a shock wave through the water jacket at high revs but the jury's out .
I tried lots of trumpet lengths on the dyno and short ones were crap on mine so i used the longest ones i could and even had spacers made to make the inlet tract even longer . Worked a treat on my spec but every engine spec is different so only experimenting will tell . I've had over 150x dyno runs to get the optimate settings etc and we tried most things and some of it is just splitting hairs , lol . :)

sorry to see that, will you have it sorted for the AGBO.
Sat in rapid Darrian with a 2ltr YB which used to detonate and kept blowing head gaskets. Finally melted a piston. I dont know much about this engine but I heard that some waterways in the head need to be unblocked with a drill. Seems to be a hotspot in the head that dosnt show until you drive for a while.
This is part of the reason 2ltr YBs dont give good power, but in 2.4 form their great. I guess go easy on the compression ratio for starters.
Maybe a different version of the YB has a better head you could use.
