Now this is just not fair lads. My car was in "Stealth mode" when I had that rolling road run done. Technician was well suprised at my power figures. I'm on the look out for that damn Matiz for a re-match.

right its back and there is some good news and some bad news
the car has got one of the best balanced pinto's he has ever seen
and it revs its nuts of but i need 40mm chokes and a better cam....HT1...
but apart from that its 139.8 bhp at the fly with 138.9 lbft at 5900 revs
with a speed of 101 mph
and its got 121bhp at the rear wheels ....he asked me how i set up my box and diff i told him it is a standard setup he told me that you must have done somthing as its only losing 18.9 bhp from the fly wheel to the rear wheels...the chart shows a very good all range power output with no fade apart from when the cam comes in at 2000 rpm
so what do i do now do i get a cam and bigger chokes....??
or leave well alone...??
over all iam ok about it but just like to of have a reply saying 165 bhp
but no ...lol
still i took it for a drive and gave it some big power to see how it was and it feel's very good with power there all the time.....
I would leave alone mate.
its how it drives for you that matters, not pub bhp figures

Agree with Kel. Leave it alone for this year. If you fancy a winter project then do it over those crappy months. (Like I am)

BHP Bull***t stops when the racing flag drops !
If car drives how you want/expected then leave well alone.
In the future change it but for now drive it

thats what iam going to do for now i think...??
but iam thinking on doing the mex as a gp4 cossie turbo with about 300bhp :bounce:
why only stage 2 on the cossie, might as well go 3 for not much more expence.
I can put in touch with one of the uk's top cossie builders

only thinking out loud at the mo kel....
worth talking to someone about costs, YB's are not cheap to build
standard YB build with a new crank cost me fitted £2500

what will this get me...
5k spent on the engine you have already sourced or to supply a engine within the 5k budget
