Well done - I did exactly the same thing, and 10K, six heart attacks and a marriage break up I finally have a good Mex at last. Still get smashed every night though...

i can say with hand on crotch that yes its finished  on the road taxed and tested...... shame the bloody weather has turned for the worst :-(
i will try and put a pic of the finished car on here just to prove to my self that its finally done.
as for getting smashed i prefer the much more rewarding sport of nova/saxo baiting  so long as i dont pick the one with the 2ltr 16v transplant
now where are my keys!!!!!

topaz
you should certainly keep the 7's.... i think they look the dogs
as for the suspension
rear: single leaf springs, not decambered as far as i know, 117lb i think as bought them at an auto jumble with 1 inch lowering blocks and bilstein shockers, no turrets.
front: 2.8 capri bilstein struts with 1 inch lower standard diameter springs 149lb, roller top mounts.
both front and rear all poly bushed.
hope this helps
paul
ps i run 195x55 tyres with slight rolling of the rear arches only, no axle shortening reqd
thanks for that paul, i shall resist temptation and keep my car on steels for the time being
:)
