Hi Everyone!

After purchasing my Rs2k at the beginning of the Month the day has finally come and my RS (Feeling very sorry for itself) has Just been Delivered!!

Over the next few weeks/months/years! I'll be keeping a log of the resto on here. May also need to ask you guys for advice when I run in to my first of many problems. :-)

Need to go and fit a fireplace for the mrs now to keep her sweet and then I'm free to start the car!

Cheers
Jay

dont we all, but I'm lucky; she loves driving it just as much as I do. She even takes her friends home in it if I have the car out. Bless, last drop of for her friends I hear a little scream as Julie floored it ... hehehe

Cheers guys for the encouragement.
Managed to strip the interior out of the car last night and remove the nose cone. Cars very low so over the years has damaged the original (need to look tomorrow to see what shocks are on it!). When I bought the car the guy threw in a spare which he tells me is from a merseyside police rs2000 (not sure if true or not but its mint). Another bonus is I went out with my brother in law to be (I get married in July) and found out before he became a HGV1 driver he had 5 years in the welding trade! Things just get better :-) will add new pics tomorrow,

Cheers
Jay

Cars Changed a little since first purchased. After looking at the front panel, slam panel and inner wings I decided to purchase a 2nd hand front end with no rust and this is the state of play at the moment. More pics to follow over winter.

Leave it open and chrome up the engine. Drop the roof by six inches and you've one unique street car!

Either way you have the heart of a lion or is this your first resto?

get at it matey! i,am just coming out the other end and loving it, if you can borrow or buy a dehumidifier and leave it going in there it stops any rust appearing on your new welding, keeps everything nice and dry untill its painted. just a tip, good luck.
