I purchased this car back in 2001 as bit of a wreck with only 38,000 miles on the clock & hadn't seen the raod since 1985.
I then carried out a 4 year restoration & went on the road April 2005.Since then I haven't realy done much to her so I thought it was time for a little freshen up hear & there.
I've started by removing the exhausy system for a clean & repaint.
Removed the manifold,water pump,alternator & radiator for either a repaint or replace.http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f209/rs2000chris/ESCORTRS2000032.jpghttp://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f209/rs2000chris/ESCORTRS2000031.jpg

I hope not.
I've checked the bodywork all over & all is ok.It was fully repainted september 2004 & still looks as good today.
Its just all the bolt on bits.
Must confess though I am a bit tempted to take the engine out to clean & repaint.

i remember when you did it and followed the thread with great interest and was insanely jealous when you had finished cos mine was a pile of crap compared to it and i could only dream of owning such a nice example. Hope to see her in the flesh this year.
