Lots of photos to come shifty lad, car stripped down and back together now as some know , but it's easy to put the pics up now . Been working on the car for the last 6 weeks now .

;);)car roof skin bonded and fixed down with bonding agent , rubbed down with the sander to the metal and down the pillars , looks like the car might have been on its side at one point .
;)repaired and welded heater bubble and new door skins set in primer ,new roof skin sanded down ready for filler .

Andyc secretly tried all the stripe combos but felt he was being pressured from certain members of the board to fit stripes :confused:
he particularly liked the last lot, although again, felt he'd get the pizz taken for fitting them :thumbright:

new pics darren as requested :thumbright: got the underside softly soada blasted to remove all the underseal and lets see all the bad bits , and what was hidden .
turns out it was not that bad , usual small patches of rot .

Going in the morning to get my 7.5 alloys brand new never fitted out the boxes fitted to my Michelin 225 x13 tyres brand new nuts and center caps all new old stock , thanks mk1 kid . The boxes even have the german ford rs stickers still fitted and the ats stickers inside .

Are you going to have the grill and bumper painted black afterwards? My nose cone is a bit crazed due to old brittle cellulose paint, but my grill and bumper seems to be 'bare' plastic so I'm just wondering about preping it.
The car's looking great...something about a car in primer; must be the anticipation of the colour coat. :)

You are of course right. Trouble being is that our beloved Henrys suffer from the tin worm (BADLY) when used on the roads, so most do go for stonechip. I do admire your sticking to an original finish, on the other hand, stonechip looks better than body colour with Schulz on top...:confused:

actually, i "heard" from a 'registrar' today who has collected over 130 series X registrations (with validated pictures) over the years .............
of these there are about 20 + in the british isles :eek: and a further 20 in europe still alive today :thumbright:
apparently there was a Series X display at the lakes tour a couple of years ago .................... anyone got any pics
