Hi Everyone...

After many years of admiring Mk2 escorts I've finally taken the blunge and purchased a 1980 RS2000 Custom. At Last!! The car gets delivered next week and I'll be adding pics on a weekly basis of the restoration which I assume will take about a year. Fingers Crossed :-)

I've just checked the Registration on:

http://www.vehiclelicence.gov.uk/EvlPortalApp/index.jsp

And Engine Size Colour etc all look to be correct.

I was just wondering if I could contact someone on the board to see if the car has ever been on the RS Registrar or if anyone regonised the reg number? I beleives it been off the road since 97 so it would be looking at the early 90s.

Any Help Appreciated!

Moved from Manchester to Lincolnshire last month.. Never had the garage space in Manchester to work on a Mk2 so always said I would once I bought the right house. I'm in a small Village just 5 miles from Sleaford. Car wont be driveable until next summer but love to meet up with fellow owners once its ready. Also may need some advice as I'm a novice in the restoration game!

Sleaford's only up the road mate, if u need to look at anything on mine just shout, it's far from mint but it's all there.
