Get a proper valuation on it Eddie. Worth it come the time.
Hagerty seems to be the insurer of choice recently on here - many well known cars are through them -
they seem to know about the cars too and what they now mean to their owners ;)

Do it through the RSOC Eddie
I've heard recently they don't look around the car, ask you what it was valued last time at then ask what value you want this time
sounds good to me £20,000 lol

Would be properly looked at then valued. :)
I think the price we were talking about was correct Eddie :)

When I was valueing MKII RS2000's for The RSOC I was able to do a "photographic Valuation" upto the value of £10k
And for any valuation as a starting point I also always asked what value the owner put on the car.
This was a starting point for discusssion and most times the start figure went up in value as a lot of long term owners were simply not aware how much "decent" MKII's were now fetching.
On the other hand it was very surprising how many "new" owners had just paid £7k for a car 3 months ago and now want an RSOC valuation at £15k.
So in my case unless I agreed with the owners "want" figure then a suitable figure was agreed between all the parties concerned after inspection and collation of information regarding the car.
I obviously cannot speak for current valuations being conducted by The RSOC for MKII RS2000 owners
