I also got these, I was not going to put up the pics but I think they look so good I had too, eh Vinny LOL
these are Haybusa Motorbike carbs on a fabricated Pinto manifold, ready to bolt on and theres minimal pipework to do, they need a pressure reg as they only run at 2 psi, they are 37mm chokes that flow better than 45's and rolling road tests so far have added from 20-25+ bhp to a car running 45's and RS_MARTYN said they sound awesome, I will be doing a fitting guide on them pictorial maybe this weekend

Where did you get them and the manifold etc form, and what sort of cost are they, as I have twin 40s at the moment but could always do with more!!!!!

brian, i too would like to know more about this set up, i nearly bought a set of yamaha R1 carbs in the week, but bottled it on account of the nause of getting correct jets, need some base line figures from which to work from, and go from there, how much was the manifold? is it critical how long the inlets are? they look quite long to me??

The Whole Kit inc the Pipercross and pressure reg was Delivered to me for the princely sum of £364 the PX filter was £65 and the pred reg was £28 clear instructions and Ian says call him if there are any problems cant beat that eh

Yum yum.. bike carbs :slurp:
Bloke who set my dcoe's up took me out in a CVH powered kit car with a set of Honda blackbird carbs on, his lad had just made up the manifold and linkage for it and he'd set it up on the rollers. Bloody awesome it was.. pulled from nothing right into the red, only had a lightly ported head and a cam in it too. I almost comminsioned a kit for the RS.

Brian,
U sure that fits in the engine bay................lokks awfully long inlet tract???!
Incidently, this is a friends unit.
http://www.redslate.co.uk/upload/pics/Chevies-Pinto-EFI-1.jpg
It uses the Kawasaki 1000cc efi setup, on half of the STD inlet manifold.
It has programable efi,
haltec unit.
Once this was fitted and he has a piper bp 280 cam, he said it was smooth as and could have gone for bp300 cam.
This is a street car.

Yes Roger it fits fine mate, with a couple of inches to spare to the wing, the only problem is the length of the airfilter, it encroches on the battery but I have sourced a new shorter but taller one and it fits fine, without the filter the carbs only come level with the battery tray edge, but as the manifolds 1st and 4th port are angled in some 30 degrees they miss the battery tray end by 2 inch nearly
is she running yet brian ?
