Cant wait to hear what you get from it !
Check oil water fan belts etc etc etc
Make sure you stand in the rolling road area as the noise of a car on rollers is scary - especially if its your own car ! - lol
just come from doing just that dave.
done a rolling road session with Kent before, but not with my own tool.
Will tell all.
Right I'm off.
1st Run 131.9bhp / 132.2 lbft @ 5908
2nd Run 135.7bhp / 136.6 lbft @ 5551
It is known that these rollers read low. Had to have the IDF's rejetted as the carbs were jetted with the Aux jets upside down.
Compression as spot on & all equal with in 1%
Those @ the wheels figures ?
what the rule of thumb % loss from a RWD, is it 15%
No idea...
Be nice to know roughly tho
mine made 320 @ the wheels, last time
I thought is was 15-20% for RWD & 30-35 for 4wd
makes a good read

It still has its loverly flat torque curve
And the IDF "dip" at around 2000 - 2500 as well
Did your man try near the 7000rpm area ?
I have had the engine held at 7500rpm (as you well know - lol)
If those figures are at 5500 - 6000 rpm then engine is still near or on the 175bhp @ fly that I had from it
NICE !
p.s. Aux jets were direct from Australia :geek:

HP figure are very misleading without knowing a bit about car and rollers.
Anyhow a RWD escort will lose between 32 and 38 hp to the driveline.
I am very happy for your figures.
But
the rpm is very low for that figure.
I would have expected closer to 7500.
Can I have engine specs?
44 idf's
Burtons stage 3 head, Kent FR32 cam kit,
2 inch 4 branch
+.50mm overbore 205 block and pistons
-.25 crank, rods, and pistons, ARP con rod bolts
So do all escorts loose that amount of power to wheels ?
Say 40bhp tops ?
And its not a percentage...the wheels to flywheel figure is doing my head in...
Best just keeping with @ the wheels figures...
