RS Owner at last !!! (Well Nearly)

Well folks went and viewed the car last night. Did the deal and shook on it so when i get back from Oman i will be an RS owner again :D:D.
The guy is going to keep it for me till i get back.

Spec of the car is RS2k in Sierra biege. 2.1 pinto, twin 45 dellortos and fast road cam. New St/St janspeed exhaust, 4 branch manifold. 5 speed gearbox, one piece prop, billies all round and lowering blocks. brand new Wilwood discs, pads and calipers. Fully restored and painted.
It needs some work done to it to finish it,, The interior is not the best so needs new carpet , headlining, seats retrimmed, however there is a spare interior that is coming with the car so i`ll be able to send this off to get done. Just needs general cleaning and tidying up , the odd bracket and clip here and there etc, It also needs a new throttle linkage.
There is no tax or test as its been in storage for the last 2 years or so but that doesn`t matter as by the time i get back it will be mid september so i`ll be able to get a head start on it for next season !!:D:D.

really chuffed and can`t wait to get back now. Its going to be a long six weeks :D.

Cheers for all the comments lads, Sorry taken so long to reply but with being out here in Oman I`ve only just got th einternet set up !!:o.

However thats 1 week down 5 to go :D
Haven`t stopped thinkinh about the car and been planning all that i`m going to be doin. Not to much mind you as it only needs a good tidy/clean up.:D

Plans are to get the interior done. There is a spare 1 coming with the car so i`ll send the seats away to geet done. meanwhile strip the existing interior and carpet. The heater motor isn`t working nor the rev counter so i will get those attended to . Then it will be a case of giving the interior a good cleaning, I have all my secret products from my valeting days so will be no problem at all.
As for the exterior its mostly the engine bay and underside. It needs new rear shocks so i will replace those and clean everything on therear end too while i`m at it . The engine bay is again tidying up, needs a new throttle linkage and carbs set up . It will also get a service and a good polish.
I`m going to national day so will be raking about in the autojumbles !:D
Then finally when all that done mot it tax it and insure it and enjoy it :D:D

Well thats her insured for the nice princely sum of £131 fully comp and with the missus on it too and all mods declared. Well chuffed with the price :)
