they were ok they will do the job but some of the bolts are just not right but i will buy some more of him later just not the ones that are wrong
the ones that look wrong the most are the bellhousing bolts......

We will be refurbing all the odd size/thread bolts on a mk2 escort in the next couple of months.
If they come out as nice as the door catchs etc they'll look great.
ie,
anti roll bar bolts
crossmember bolts
tca bolts
diff bolts
etc etc

All being the orignal bolts left over from the 50 or so we have broken up!!!!

Cheers

Surely the bolts are 20 years old plus...

Would it not be better to source some new ones ?

I replace bolts on mine all the time, like if the axle comes off it gets new bolts for the 4 link bars etc....

plus when the plated they might get an inherant weakness brought out, due to heat/cleaning process

The point is you can't buy the correct looking ford bolts.
Only opion is to replate the old bolts.

Dingy we all realise that second hand bolts are not ideal for holding on link bars etc

Sorry if you think i am being arsey, really am not.

I wouldn't put 20 year old crap in the engine, no difference with rest of car IMHO.

Sorry if am treading on your toes with a sale but this is just my opinion.

Rest of this bbs can buy old sh1Te till there hearts are concours'd to bits.
