went online to tax the mex tonight, its currently on sorn. It would let me do it but the tax would start 1st March NOT 1st April

Do i have to wait until 1st April to do it on-line??

Wondering if it may be easier just to go to the post office.

i think u only get the 5 days grace, if you have the reminder and tax it without a break from the last tax, so you can buy it on the 31st at 11;30, you wont get the disc but you have 5 days as you bought it before it run out.

i'm going the post office 1st thing thursday morning.

glad to see most of you lads are supporting the post office by taxing your car there.the disc is much better lookin hand written than that computor stamp crap.:)

31-03-2010, 09:27
Why can't you just do it online on the 1st?
The car will be taxed from then, even if you don't have a disc to stick on your windscreen.
You guys make it sound like the computer system stops at the end of the month.

Taxed 2 of my cars today. The mk1 RS2000 was 48 Euros for the year (vintage)
The mk5 RS2000 was 340 Euros for 6 months.
I will have to wait another 12 years for the mk5 to qualify for the vintage rate. See ye at the Lakes in the mk1.
Till then Paul.
