lakes tour, which route did you like the best
2006
2007
2008
2009
I have only done 2009 so i say that one just hope the weather is a lot beter
The MK2 broke down that many times in 2009 I didn't see much of the route, so I voted for that one again :o
fraid to say 2008, buttertubs pass
best fun I have ever had in a car on the road :D
could have been slightly shorter, but I have done them all apart from the 1st :o
and loved 2008 the best :spliff:
2008 by far the best:cool: , missed the first one , did 2007 as customs passenger, and that was an experience, 2009 was ok but car probs and weather and alot of going slow spoiled this one
The MK2 broke down that many times in 2009 I didn't see much of the route, so I voted for that one again :o
Now i remember why i didnt see a lo:ot

For me it was the 2006 run.I think the 2008 run was to long
2008. long sweeping bends, and up over hartside.
Think it as to be 2008 for me too
im going to say 2007 :D 2008 was good but a bit to long  2009 shame about the weather

2008 for me in the yellow mex enjoyed every mile of it even if it was long but still very enjoyable isn't that why we build or cars for the endurance thing and to prove to ourselves that hard work was all worth it!!! and that we make it all the way without breaking down:D:D:D
roll on 2010 don't care how long/short/weather its all about the crack!!!!!!
1st was the best

My main gripe with 2008 was a petrol station 4 mile into the route and then nothing for the next 150 mile
I had to miss Tan Hill Pub as had no fuel till Acheyford came to the rescue at the roadworks !
Still the Notiingham 7 made it all the worth while :D
How about 2010 make a visit to clockermouth to show some support after the floods seeing as the town has a major player in the rally scene ?

:D
see I GIVE YOU NARROW ROADS and you block them up with escorts :D
I give you long sweeping bends and fast roads you run out fuel and tell me it was to long a route :p
The hartside route was long yeah i will give you all that, but it was only long as i did't want to turn you all round at the top and fecth you all the way back down ;) as coming back down is boring or is it ? THE ONLY WAY we can do Hartside again to keep the mileage down is to regroup, at the top and when the last car gets to the top the first car sets off down again [ AS I DON'T WANT SEE A HEAD ON WITH TOO ESCORTS ]
this is an option ;)
I would like to do abit of all the 4 routes and try to make them into one for 2010 but not sure as yet ;)

missed 2006 but done all the others and must say I liked 2008 & the fast (still legal speed limit;)) sweeping bends and the views where great, just a wee bit too long.

i thought the fact of the 2008 being too long was good because you made a day of it, and the weather and the road where just brilliant.

2006 was awesome but there's too many cars to go the same roads now:rolleyes:
2007 was fine though oiled up 2 sets of plugs with the slow trundling around:eek:
2008 was my favourite, over Hartside, Tan Hill, High Force and back down the Triangle:D
2009 The weather spolit it a bit but that's the Lake District for you:rolleyes:
