be the first one to alter the rear arches so the doors can open. ie fitting part of the arch to the door will look the bollax and the road rally ferternity will love it

wooow guys calm down, im only curious, didnt say i was going to do it haha, struggleing to get the ordinary arches sorted out nevermind butchering them up to fit forest ones!! has no one done it so the rear doors open still? it seams extreamly stupid to me to fit forest arches and then not be able to open the rear doors :S why bother with a 4 door then? why not just do the job right and start with 2!

there was a 4 door mk2 doin the historic rally championship in 08 and that didnt look that bad,cant find anypics at the mom tho

there were some pics a couple of years back of either an irish event or the tour of the mull with a white four door entered - that had black arches and didn't look too bad with all the lights and gubbins on it - someone must have pics or remember it now i just jogged their memory ;):D

About a year ago i bought a lhd mk2 escort of a fella down south and he had this for sale after reshelling it back into a 2 door shell because it wasn't aloud to run historics but it did actually look very good

I do have to admit the yellow mk2 above does look great, and the work has been done to a great standard, something about it just doesnt look right still....

It does make a 4 door look significantly better, definitly be doing it on my one, still not sold on the arches though

It depends on how much you fancy forest arches!.....there's a lot of 4doors with standard arches that still look good.:)

When you look at a 4 door, its a family car, not a rally car or a track car, so they make fantastic sleepers, I think bodywork wise a 4 door looks best as close to standard as possible :cool:

These arched thingy's are really growing on me.......creeping up from behind and getting me in a strangle-hold / half-nelson.

Tongy is banned from this years Snowdonia Tour :rolleyes::D
