I can't stand the tension :dontknow:, most of the changes are known about well in advance of the meeting anyway, saying that you can get the occassional surprise that make it a little interesting.

Always the way Hally, even when the club was much bigger so AGM attendance will be even less. Most people just want to pay their fee's and get a mag through the door and a few shows each year, not too worried about behind the scenes stuff.
I enjoyed one many many years ago in Coventry, think Mr Le Clainche was chairing it, there was a big heated debate and people were asked to leave, the good old days ........:D:D

In the club we have 19 variants of the RS model from the MK1 Twin Cam through to the MK2 RS Focus. Everybody wants re-man parts for their cars. The club basically cannot afford to do this at the present time I'm afraid due to the sheer costs involved. Also, What parts do we have re-made????? If we did some MK1/2 Escort parts then all the Cosworth/Turbo owners would be asking why we didn't do re-makes for their cars etc.............BIG can of worms:(

Exactly.
With AVO, They only have 2 variants of cars to cater for, The MK1 Escort and the MK1 Capri therefore, the re-manufacture of certain parts is easier for the club to do.

The Great Bustard, kevinus frosticlese, is in the bustard (http://bbs.rallyesportescorts.co.uk/wiki/Bustard) family, the only member of the genus Mexicous. It breeds in southern and central Nottingham, where it is the largest species of hairless bird, and frequents chinese and indian eateries, usually resulting in a morning puking session. The young are known to be extremely Vocal. Sizeable populations exist in the midland's Area, but the species is declining due to the natural habitat of race circuit Gravel traps disappearing.

I think that you have made a good decision to have nothing to do with spares etc....
There appears to be nothing really now that any one person/Club can supply...its all available from many sources...there really is no need to go down that mine laden route...IMHO...

Agree Russ. Most of the parts now are available through other sources and more becoming available all the time.
About time the club updated its website then as it makes a lot of its spares and it 7000+ membership
"RSOC members only have access to NEW RS original or remanufactured spares.

Bugger, Beat me to it.
To be honest, If you mention that you are a member of the RSOC to most specialists then they will give you a discount on parts. So, Catered for ;)
We did have a HUGE amount of spares a few years ago of which the last I flogged off stupidly cheap at last years Nat Day. 99% of the spares were for Cosworths and Turbo's as this was all that was available at the time. (Barring X Pack Wheel nuts). All the good stuff quickly went but we were hammered by storage and transportation costs which proved uneconomical for the club hence me having to sell it all off.
