lots of things have been done in the past and there are some good remanufactured parts out there, the thing is people want parts to look like the original, how hard is it to make something, that to be frank, was made back in the low tech seventies:(, i suppose moulds etc are the costly thing:dontknow:

bulkhead pad
steel wheel centre caps
steering wheel
base carpet
etc etc

wheel nuts:D

It takes a lot of time and sometimes money to get parts done.

I have done some as most of you know like.

Boot Carpets (Doing ok)
Wheel Straps (Did Well)
Battery Clamps (Not great and had to make a special rig to make these)
Bulkhead Flaps (Also not great)
Stickers (Did well at first)

I am looking into other things and know of one guy that is working on New Rubber Boot Spoiler so hopefully that will work out as I want one.

The Servo Top Clip think it was yellow might be a possible project if there was plenty of interest.

Main Carpet is something I have been thinking of for a while and might be a winter project.

Chat Later,
Errol

Dave

ive looked into doing the centre caps, this may still go ahead but im not sure many sets of these would sell....how many standard wheels are on cars these days and how many would be in the concours section????....bulkhead pads will be very hard to get done....the cost of the mould would be very expensive, and were would there be a new got to make a mould :(....its like all the other parts mentioned here the cost of parts to have done is pretty high, so most of the parts will never be done...unless its a nice euro millions win for somebody who loves their escorts :D

rear spoilers
nose cones
...

really anything tht gets made will be able to be sold its just the numbers that cause the problems.....also people seem to have a problem with spending more than 20 quid.....but i may be wrong about that last bit.

Bulkhead pad seems to be popular, anyone got one i could take a good look at or buy from them?

I am particularly fussy about getting things right, so any key features on the bulkhead pad not to miss etc or how they sit when fitted, that i should note?

How much would people pay for a new gen ford item?

how much would you expect to pay for a good second hand one?

What models were they fitted to, just rs?

as much info about the item before i start would be appreciated.

Thanks

I know someone who is going to re-do Bulkhead pads in the near future. They will be Carbon Fibre with a soft backing and either left plain or painted black

i know from trying something similar, unless its 110% exact forget it.... it would be nice to see new ones been done...a new gen ford on would be big money, very good 2nd hand ones possibly up to 150, but these are very rarely seen....im not sure you would make the numbers on this item as the cars are getting rarer by the day.....plus there are not many cars been restored back to original type...as many go the mod route....my advice would be try something smaller :D.....
