View Full Version : fostering
we have just had our first child placed with us today, so we are a little bit nervous.
we will have to see how thing go and also keep an eye on our kids to see how they are coping with things
Good luck with it Lee, you will be fine ;)

good luck,im sure you will be fine,:D
good luck :) sure it will be fine - dont want to pry and you dont have to answer or say if you dont, but was the first vibe good ?
Grum
we have a lad who is 2 years younger than my youngest son,and although he has only been with us today you would think that they were mates from school.
we cant believe how they have taken to each other
my youngest lad likes to cook, so he made some little cakes to welcome the foster child.
so i guess that the answer to your question is yes, there is a very positive vibe in our house at the moment:D

we dont know how long he is going to be with us Andy,
suppose its down to the social workers and weather or not his family get thier act together
i hate families pain in the arse well mine is
How's it going Lee ?
Things are good Aled,
just getting ready to go on holiday in the morning, we have had permission to take him with us.
not very impressed with social services though:(
they want us to dress him in cheap £2 t-shirts when our kids wear Nike and Reebok. we have decided that we will pay for it ourselves because i for one cant say to him that you arent as good as our kids so you cant have nice clothes, as far as we are concerned he lives with us so he will wear the same gear as our kids.
Surely if we dressed him like they want us to he will get a real inferiority complex. Im in care so i cant have anything, what a load of tosh:mad:
rant over lol
hes very exited about going away and cant wait
social services never have given a toss i can vouch for that
