Had a chat with a lad this morning, just by chance mentions he knows someone with an old Escort in his shed, taken apart years ago and now wants rid of it. I asked him what sort of Escort and he says its a MK2 Mexico. .......... :eek:

Now you know how these stories go, but hang on, he gives me the lads phone number as well ;);)

Well it would be wrong of me not to give it a ring so 15 minutes later I am off the phone and on my way to view said car only 1/2 hours drive away.

Did I mention it was a yellow MK2 Mexico :D

So I arrive at the place and lad disappears into a shed with me following.

Sure enough its Escort shaped.

Same lad has this available, again its stood a while, V4 petrol, twin rear wheels, crew cab seating, few new panels with it, looked ok. Would mek a good camper :rolleyes::rolleyes:

I also know of one away up here. It is a red mk2 rs2000. It is owned by 2 brothers and it just sits in the shed surrounded by tyres. (they have a tyre business). It apparently has quite a low mileage totally original etc etc. There have been guys offered in excess of 5 grand for the car but they refuse to sell it as it was their mothers car from new and they are keeping it for sentiment. :(
