View Full Version : 44idf vs 45dcoe
anyone used twin 44idf`s on their engine then changed to twin 45`s ?
want to know if there is an obvious power difference or not much in it.
comments welcome,

i drove an rs2000 with 44 idf's on and it didn't pick up like my 45s did and both 2.0 pinto were standard
plus i have spoke to loads of owners with 44idf's and most of them said they are a pain to tune and keep right.....
I had +8bhp just ditching 44IDFs for sidedrafts. That was on an engine giving somewhere in the 120s at the wheels. Not sure I follow the previous post - no point in either on an otherwise standard engine.

Hi Ders, speak to Andy G about that - he's currently
running 44 idf's, cosworth bottom end and full race head and cam
his car will rev to 8000 + in every gear with a 3.9 diff
awesome.
I'll e-mail you his number.
thanks for the comments,
martin - i need to call Andy anyway i have a 44idf airbox for him.
