i have just got of the phone with a classic car dealer. i had a very nice chat with him about mk2 rs2000
he tells me he has got a customer with a nice collection of cars and one of them is an rs2000 that he has had from new and its only done 600m
but it has been in a bad smash in the front but the car is like new and has been in a garage for 25 years
he got paid out on the insurance years ago and asked if he can buy the car back from the insurance company they said yes thats why he has still got it but the best thing is he got a brandnew shell from fords in 1980 to reshell the car and he has never got around to doing it so the 2 cars are sitting in a garage waiting to be done
the dealer i spoke to said he might sell them as he is to old now and he is into jags in a big way so there you go there are still new shells and low owner rs2000 out there
i just hope he calls me back and tells me the man will sell that will make my day...

i might just go n buy a cheap runa about like a vauxhall so i can build my own escort, gp4 spec shell lol

there is nout wrong with a vauxhall i have got one its a zafira 7 seater 130bhp turbo diesel and its quick....

what one...??? you got a 150 bhp..??

mine was 100 bhp but i had a chip put init and now its 130 bhp

but i need this size car as i have got 4 kids...

GTI PD150 with a re-map. Just over 200bhp now and goes and smells like stink :cheers: Mex can't touch it. Still prefer to drive the Mex though as it will always bring such a huge grin to my face. But the Golf is superb.

my dad has got a new 140 pdi golf and thats quick

but you are right m8 you carnt beat the escort i love my rs2000 and carnt wait to give it some sideways action......lol

just got the call and its bad news

he don't want to sell as his son inlaw is going to get them for a birthday presant lucky git

owell easy come easy go

thats that no new shell...... :cussing:

well there was an impoted mk2 2door shell on ebay and it sold for £6k
but this was a genuine rs shell so me thinks it will make about 9 to 10k
