These are not original stripes, and they look naff. I like the car though, too good for the scrappy. A nice cheap buy for someone!

Sorry Paul, I've done it again, I'm not out to offend you!........but they look so much nicer in black don't they?:D
Quite honestly Paul, I used to sell these new in the 70's and we were never offered any option like these but we were sent a set very similar to yours which went on to a demo model. They were inferior quality, peeling at the edges and looked thoroughly naff, I would not have expected them to have lasted very long! Are these by any chance reproductions you have had made, which do look a lot better than the ones I remember?

No worries Tim, the majority of the stripes on mine are original and I have a few sections of new stripe still in BL boxes, for when I restore it :rolleyes: !!
I would have preferred this stripe which was also an option
