the car was bought in 2006 as a 'restored' mexico replica. previously owned by a rally driver and had been used and won the Ilkley Jubilee Run

but when MOT time came around an inspection found a few issues which led to a full strip and rebuild

the first sign of trouble

then there seems to be a void... i think i got fed up taking photographs and just wanted to finish the car...

....:D so we jump to this
http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn96/MightySprocket/RS4Spokes002.jpg
http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn96/MightySprocket/DSCF0442.jpg

and is kind of how the car stands, it is being used everyday whatever the weather and despite a journey of epic proportions that i dont want to do again in a hurry...

I wouldn't swap it for the world... well maybe a nice mk2 RS2k would be tempting :D

it has to go back in for paint when the weathers a bit better, there are a few bits im not happy with and I need to try another diff... the 4.1 is way too short for any stretched roads, great round the town and twisty lanes but I cant plan all my journeys like that :D unfortunatley!

Going to replace the head this year with a Vulcan job (when funds permit) as i think there is more power to be had yet

Superb comments guys, cheeRS

red pin stripe like the original on the Custom Pack Mex would look nice as well and avoid too much unwelcome attention.
