View Full Version : My almost completed project.
Give you the link to my basic site.

Almost finished, just engine needs timed and some radiator hoses and a radiator.
Anyone know where I can get original ford hoses or shall I have to opt for black silicone. Also think I shall opt for a standard radiator, just new, unlike the one I have.
Could be coming to a road near you during the run in period, will be looking to do a few long show runs to get the engine bedded in.
Just need insurance!? :bom:

looking good mate , another one to keep an eye out for atthe shows this year
Will get some pics up as soon as I can.
The images are mostly rollover, so there may be more than you thought.
I have owned the car for 6 years, ran it for one, but only been restoring it for 2 1/2 (Only!!)
One current issue is the garage doors (garage was built around and for the car) are swollen shut, so access is difficult.
I am back at uni (postgrad due to no work) right now and finish this lot of exams at the end of next week. That is when I intend to get the engine set up and plumbed in.
A wee bit concerned right now that the mechanical advance is a bit vague to provide accurate timing, but aint got the cash for Webber alpha or equivalent (or TB's and sensors for ECU). Also need to get the CR up as is currently 9.17:1 but I am fine with this for running in. Will put it up to around 10-10.5 when run in.
Working too many of my dads restoration projects in between.
Realistically I need to spend another £500 to get it on the road (all costs), and another 2K to get it to the standard I want. LSD, uprated box, 45's uprated half shafts, 4pots, rear discs, electronic timing etc. Usual stuff..
