I did not know it was yours but that is a very nice looking escort :thumbright: what sort of money would you have to part with to own one in that condition and spec? so i can start saving.
I brought all the parts at a very good price and i'm a paint sprayer,so that helps.
You would spend £20k+ to built another.
Just to sourse a shell would be a nite mare!!!

Well worth it though (Top Job)
Yes to be commended on a good looking car. Good engine find too.
I had a mate with a 1600 sport with near enopugh 0 miles on it in a corner of the workshop, but then the workshop burnt to the ground adn he lost that, his XE MK2 rally car and a subaru.
Was not a good day.

darren, i came up to your lockup last summer to pick up the frame for a britax folding sunroof, was that the same car tucked in the corner, underconstruction at the time?
darren:-
i was just looking at a 1996 classic ford which had PPC 969R featured in white. what happend to that car i heard you sold it at a ford fair?
the yellow ones very nice by the way!
Yes that was the mexico in the corner of my yard.
PPC 969R was in classic ford in 1996 and 2001 and is now in Ireland.
Darran
i think its safe to say you know the meaning of " mint " and " clean "!!!!!
i was thinking of making mine look like yours did in 96.
well done that man!!
Yes mate all yours needs is lowering a bit more and orange 7x13" revos, and full cage...in orange of coarse!!!!!!!!!!!
Cheers
Darran
i'm tempted but the engine needs a new cam and a set of 45's first, then theres wee bits of body work to get done.............the list goes on!!!
