started last night to catalogue all the receipts on the car since bought in march 02 :o

that year was a mega spend, as was 2005 when the engine, box and diff were all done :o:o

will let you know how much soon - interesting looking back at a few bills that came with the car, had 'A LOT' spent on it in 1988 at Ford Trimoco, Luton :o:o:o

does/has anyone else got a running total for their cars ? i know richyc is always saying he'll do the same with his vast folder full, but hasnt got round to it - he got his in 1989 and the shock of the total just might send him over the edge

have kept a folder since 1988/89 when i got the car, every nut bolt washer, you name it its in there, its filled a lever arch file with the receipts and history. think youve seen it gra:D
inner wing £89 from ford dealer..and so on, time warp prices

The engine build receipts are the scary ones

would hate to add it all up tbh

But if you do Dave, don't divide the total amount by the number of miles you actually driven the car ... ...

cant sleep, but i dont know if its down to the total below

excluding the car, just got up to ............ gulp ......... £8950 :o (but take £500 off for a set of OMP RS buckets/frames/bolsters sat in the loft when i did the interior in 07)

so say £8.5k - dont know if thats good or bad (i know the cars a shed, so it must be bad :o:o)

but, that is everything, starting with the series X kit, prep work, pent, wheels, tyres, new engine + bits, carbs, tranx box, diff, suspension, interior .............. everything

i know why Ju had a quizzical expression on her face  when she asked how much the car cost originally in 1979 and what i paid for it in 2002 :pottytrain2:

off to bed again now for another nightmare !!!!

its funny, but obvious, that some years you spend top dollar out and others hardly anything

2005 was the highest at just under £4.5k :o - where as the lowest was 2003 at £66.76 for an alternator

Chesney

Hi, I am up 4.5 k that buying it aswell, was 1460 back in 1999.... But saved alot of pennies on ebay...
full clutch 2.26 +10 postage
alternator 4.20 + 6 postage
front pads 2.50 + 3 postage.
all new parts....

Its just a matter of waiting for the bits to come up. Still on the body work side, so have the time to wait.... saying that would be nice, just to go and buy everything....
