Failure to re-tax vehicle fine

Anyone else had one of these? The tax ran out on my ornament in November and I forgotten to sorn it. :rolleyes:

:mad: i cashed mine back in on 28th october, sent off the form with tax disc stuck to it and sorn bit filled in. Got a cheque couple of weeks later, thought all was ok. Yesterday got a letter saying i had not declared sorn and was getting a fine. ****in fumin so luckily i kept a photocopy of the form with disc stuck to it. sent all back today telling them how incompetant they are :mad: ****in idiots i tell thee, not happy:mad:

he got the car in september 2007, and sorned it then as he hadnt passed his test, he had a notification that the vehicle needed to be sorned for september 2008...he passed his test in september, and taxed the car immediately, even losing a month basically as he back dated it, a few will remember this as we i said about it on the macrae stages what he had done, they still fined him:(

I've had an £80 fine for this in the past!

Forgot to sorn the cossie a couple of years back, got the same letter!
Sent them a grovelling letter of apology with the cheque, saying how i sent the sorn of with the date, but forgot to get proof of postage! Got a let off and my cheque back a week later! Worth a try, bet i won't get away with it again!;)

i phoned them about mine and i still got a £80 fine thats when i was doing it up .I miss the last month date they said f,,,,,:mad:
