This is just a quick thread on the little grey mk1 we picked up to use as a doner for some trim parts, switches etc for the bubble car. I started to strip some parts off it today so took a few pics along the way, quite a sound wee shell on it. As I took it apart I began thinking of building myself a mk1 :rolleyes:

thats an excellent shell Paul...get it done...how hard would it be to find a shell like that these days...it looks all original as well....you should keep her as an 1100cc but put a bike engine in it & strip it right down....:D......keep us posted on this one as id like that myself.....

shell looks top drawer, now get something built with it, with bubbles cos you are good at them now you have had practice

im sure you could find a nice 1558cc to slot in there

Do any of the mk1 boys think these look factory fit ??, doesn't have any other strengtheners but these sorta look right and can't see why they would have been fitted later :confused:

Carry out any repairs, type 49 strengtheners, bubbles , prime it then offer for sale.

No mate, still there, haven't made any effort to sell or start on it yet, doing a 'RS spec' tarmac arched MK2 at the moment which will be put up for sale as a painted shell, then I think this MK1 goes in the bodyshop to get sorted.
