didnt realise they were all like that though, when you put an ad on there it gives you the option of the phonesafe thingy is it ALL 070 numbers ?

yes all 070 number are premium, maybe pistonheads have a deal to recoup advertising costs ? suppose they have to make their money too

but hopefully this will help people not to get a surprise phone bill

I thought they are call forward numbers and 090 numbers are premium ??

People calling an Car and Classic Privacy Service 070 number from a standard BT home phone are charged 37ppm peak, 25ppm evening and 12.5ppm weekend . Other operators and mobile phone rates will vary according to operator. Car and Classic receives a small proportion of this revenue which helps maintain a high quality FREE adverts service.

Think the costs are set by the the site advertising the cars in many cases so on PH it may be similar to above-dont know for sure though.
And at £12k i dont think they will make too much from people ringing the number.
