Will lost the best part of 3 minutes last night (puncture?) on one stage just as he was starting to take regular time off Phil Squires and was otherwise just about on track for that place by the end. First rally in that car after driving two other Escorts all year that are both very different from the new car, whereas P. Squires has been driving that spec of car since Pontius was a pilot.
Well done to both drivers and all the crew members for keeping the cars going!!!!!!!
Not good news with the engine will!!! what type was it? bda for white car or pinto for phf ?
regards john

Thanks to phill for posting on here i am still so p****d off about the whole thing that somebody on the event could do such a thing when the lads who had sspent until 4am on sunday fitting the engine were getting some shut eye in the van not more than 20ft from the engine [:x]
for information the engine was a trevor morris pinto engine number UU12046
we have taken the step of reporting it to the police so any info on what was seen or rumours of engine bits for sale would be gratefully received, anonomusly if you wish.
