hi there,
does anybody know, or may be able to shed some light on this situation i have,i need to know where i can get hold of a set of GENUINE MOTORCRAFT/FORD standard strut inserts for an escort mk2 rs 2000/mexico standard spec not modified or anything,or alternativly get the existing ones stripped/overhauled because the chroming on the piston
rods are slightly pitted,id also consider a new set of strut legs or 100% good set.
your help and advice will be gratefully recieved as i am struggling for fresh ideas.

yours hoping

Neil,

Have you tried the Old Parts Store 01493 488342?

Ford didnt do inserts for the rs2 on there own,
You had to buy the full front leg.

Monroe do a replacement insert.

Gary is right, but the monroe insert is slightly taller than the original, which means that when tightening it does not go all the way down the thread.
