After 9 years of ownership..... OYD has gone.....It was Sold testerday to a man from Daarn Saarf!!!!:(
A true enthusiast, he owns 5 mk 1 RS2000,s a Mk1 Lotus Cortina AND (one for Dave1800) an RS 1800!!!! Sorry Dave but i did,nt ask for the number plate, what with all the excitement etc.;)
It was really wierd looking at someone else in my car, and watching it being loaded onto a trailor, we followed it for a couple of miles and then we turned towards the NW, and he carried on SW.:)
This fella had phoned me midweek and offered a silly price only for me to say NAH!!! But later that same day he said ok i,ll give you £#####
on condition you meet me half way, i said ok only because the car i was watching on PISTONHEADS was giving me sleepless nights, and i just had to have it.
So after the deal was done we headed straight up to Stoke on Trent to buy my NEW RS, Well new to me anyway.
The car in question is a FOCUS RS in Concours Condition with a measley 7,200 miles on the clock....
It is mint, Modified to 300 bhp, a few shiny bits (not to keen on them) a brand new unused set of RS mats which you get with these cars fron new, a brand new spare alloy, FSH , Original bill of sale, AND all the original bits to go back on the car if i so wish, which i will maybe next year, i will enjoy it modified for the fist year then return it to standard.
A Very HAPPY JAVAGREENGUF ;)
Well done Eddie :D .

A Very HAPPY JAVAGREENGUF ;)
So you bought Leo's Focus - nice motor, (nearly as clean as mine ;) )
Make yourself known on the Focus section on the RSOC site - plenty of knowledge available for free. Always a goods selection of cars at the RSOC days
Hope you enjoy your purchase

Hiya Paul, yes i got Leo,s car, he was gutted, just like i was selling my yellow one 4 hours earlier, he was happy it was going to someone like me.. his words, i havnt drove it yet and wont do so till next MAY!!!!
Its going to be a sun car for sure, and i might concours it, not sure yet, been there etc etc....Just finished wiping it down the paintwork is mint, one or two alloys could do with touching up but besides that im well happy,
cheers mate...
Eddy;)
Its going to be a sun car for sure
Eddy;)
I said the same when I picked mine up it had done 12k approx and never seen the rain or winter. Since I've had it I've done 3k and its rained most times I've been out :banghead: . Spend most of the time cleaning the underside.
How can you wait ? - you've got to have a go before putting it to bed.

You were obviously not happy keeping OYD, so you have done the right thing and it's gone to a good home. Enjoy your new car Eddy, it sounds like a lovely example.;)
Cheers, Tim.

o no EDDIE you silly boy how can you replace it
Sounds like a decent exchange to me Eddy, now you can put away the polishing cloth, the weekly weather reports and SOME of the paranoia and start enjoying the driving experience that an RS is meant to be!
Good luck, and don't worry because whatever happens, its only a focus! ;)
All the best.
