MK2 Display at RSOC National Day

Hi everyone
I don't know if you have all heard but at this years RSOC Nat Day we're organising a past and present display which is including all three MK2 RS models:
All the cars will be parked together so it should be quite a site:
We were limited to 25 of each model and invitations were sent out to cars registered in the RSOC.
the RS2000's have almost been filled but the MEXICO's is a very poor show
If anyone out there has had an invitation and intends to attend please send it back asap
I hope you will all come along to see all the cars together as we're also going around the circuit so bring you cameras

Nice one John,
You say you have a poor turn out with the number of Mexicos, same here with the 1800`s, only 8 so far, better than none I suppose, all the cars seem to be under going restoration work, mine included!!!!!!!!

You mentioned that only RSOC registered mexicos will get an invite, although i have been an RSOC member for years i have not registered my car :-(
can you tell me what info is required to get it registered. :grin:

Your membership no is 14406 and your car isn't registered "TUT TUT"
If you want to register your car you'll have to send me an SAE to my address in RN
If you intend to put your car in the display don't delay we've put a cut off date on it which is quite soon!!

is the display at nat day full yet? if you need a rs2 and a mex,myself and andy would be interested :grin: we were a bit undecided about showing at nat day but this would be a good option instead,when ever we have showed in the past where you seem to miss to much of everthing else going on,look forward to hearing from ya cheers paul

JUST A QUICK QUESTION . MY MEXICO IS REGISTERED WITH THE RSOC AND THIS IS THE FIRST I HAVE HEARD OF THIS EVENT HAPPENING AT NATIONAL DAY. HAVE ALL REGISTERED MEMBERS BEEN NOTIFIED ABOUT THIS EVENT OR IS THIS ANOTHER CASE OF IF FACE DOES'NT FIT YOU DON'T HEAR ABOUT IT.

No, i'm afraid that isn't the case!!
There is still over 1200 MK2's registered in the RSOC and I was told by the club that the limit was 25 cars from each model,
What was I meant to do invite everyone then after the first 25 invitations came back say to the rest "sorry your'e too late"
If there had been an easier way I would have done it believe me
I have tried to invite cars of every colour as this will be the 1st time this has happened.
Is it not possible for any of you to just be happy that finally there will be a Mk2 display at Nat Day
I did email Andy Gemmel about it and recieved no reply I believe it has to work both ways

It has always been the same ever since i`ve been in the club (1986), that the further south you are the more you get offered to take part. Even though every year without fail there is a loyal group of rs owners from scotland who support the club at most shows. We are not just talking 1 or 2 people but 30 or 40 at least. Andy is spot on.
