Hello,

Is it easy enough for a semi skilled monkey (i.e. me) to service the carb on me escort. I just ordered a service kit and just wondered if it was easy enough to do.

Cheers

they are very easy to do
just remember when you take it apart not to bend or lose the needle valve and the float

give all the jets a good clean and make sure there is no dirt in them
also get your self some carb or brake cleaner

look at the chokes and see if there is any play in them and they shut ok

any more info needed let me know

give it a good clean from the outside before you start! buy a f***ing big can of aerosol carburettor cleaner before you start, be methodical and yes brain dead monkeys can do it, cos i did mine and it still works.....
