Normally I delete/move "how much is it worth" threads :p

But I know you not really selling ARE YOU ??

Personally I think this countries government has talked us all into this "credit crunch" mentality and when the next general election is coming I guarantee they will make some small token gesture to make us all think they are our saviours so they do not get voted out

I say sit tight and watch where you spend at the moment sell car only if you really have to as you know you will only regret it.

Johnie

Ive just had this conversation with someone off here about how much mine is worth as it could soon be time to sell and i dont want to be selling it in a years time when they have lost all value , if im selling i want to sell soon . (so how much do you think mine is worth)

And believe me dave its not all talk about credit crunch as i am experiencing it first hand ..**** all work and the threat of redundancies , another 20 to go from our company this weekend and dont know if i will be one of them.

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
Don't do it, if you do you'll regret it. It is the best standard AVO car I've seen all year (no disrespect to any other mk1 owners who are members but its the best colour!)

In my opinion it is easily to the standard of ********, so that would give an indication of value, especially as mk1s are worth more than mk2s

I have seen this car being restored from the ground up and no amount of money can justify the hard work and attention to detail that you have put into it John. I know you will regret it but if you have to sell it I think Tim is spot on 17k plus

In full agreement ,hang onto it for as long as you can mate later you'll prob regret it hard to find cars like that in such good order ,put it on sorn ,cancel insurance ,leave her till next summer maybe then bills might be a touch easier to pay .donnt do anything hasty .Sold my Mk2 RS to hasty years ago as i had bill problems and still regret doing it

Wise words said by Dave here. There are a number of doomers and gloomers about and the talk is contagious.........which causes some people to panic. When Tony Blair first got in, there was a hell of a feel good feeling for a while untill things went wrong. A change of government could easily change the situation now.

sell now regret later,

easy to say but if the sh1ts about to hit the fan the toy's would be the first to go in my house, but if you do sell then dont regret it look at it as thankfully you had the car to fall back on in tough times ???

just my thoughts for what they are worth

be really sure about it, I have just sold mine this evening for similair reasons and was trying for a good couple of months to think of another way round it (I took the advert to nat day but couldnt bring myself to put it in the window)

If it's the only way, good luck with the sale it's a stunning car

but be really REALLY sure about it, personally I actually feel
genuinely depressed about mine now

but I had no choice really :(

Mk2's are the future...........................................b ut not for you!:pottytrain2:

As previously stated, 17k would be a steal for the amount of new old stock parts that you squirrelled away over the years that went onto this!
