Rusty bolts

i got a kent steel pulley put onto the car, but some of the hex bolts have started to get surface rust on them and basically looks sh1te. will i take it off and clean the bolts and spray them?!?

Have the parts plated.

This is zinc gold passivating.

It is normally done in lots by the kilo [20 kgs minimum last time I was there] Cost $40 dollars here[bugger all] divide 2.5 to get quids



It can be done in silver, but the gold is more corrosion resistent.

Silver probably looks best for longest though.
