any leaks yet ? :o

Rocker cover now back off...oil ****ing out

Put it on by just nipping the bolts up checked for leaks ..loads.. tried tightening the bolts , some oil leaks stopped but a couple wouldnt stop leaking and now i think ive over tightened the bolts and ****ed the gasket ,also ripped gasket taking it back off so a new one on order and will try again:rolleyes:

gasket ony £2.50 Bolts £2.50 and already had an allen key in my socket set so £5 for my fitting kit ...make that £7.50 as i need another gasket:D

Get a genuine Ford gasket Gaz, they have steel pins in them either side of the bolt holes so you can't over tighten them ;)

I just got a silver "Injection" cover from Darran on Sunday .

£25, brand new, no leaks, uses the wide gasket (with the pins in)

Car won't go as fast as one with an alloy cover on but it saved me £££££££££££'s :D :D

It's just a show-camcover, you have to fit the old one if you want to drive the car. Didn't you knew that????;) :D

Alloy rocker covers DO NOT involve superbikes or petrol :p

But they do involve spray glue and Blue Hylomar (Not Silicon sealer !)

Never had a leak form my rocker cover

This was a trick I learnt many years ago when replacing rocker cover gaskets on 1.3 MG metros- lol

MG Metro alloy rocker covers have no lip or edge to hold gasket in place but I can fit em without any leaks

As part of their quality control the Germans testfit all camcovers before sending them of, so I was told last week.

Was definatly errors made by me why it leaked , and in no way is the cover faulty .

You can tell by marks on the cover that they have been tested before being sent out .

The covers are perfect and no doubt i will get it right next time;)
