Another setback, Seatbelts won't fir with roll cage fitted....

Wheel offset now resolved with ex-long studs & 1" spacer

Brakes set up so now ther don't stay on...

handbrake to finish & harnesses to fit then Mot


Proper interior still not ready and may be another month...:(

Missed santa pod and another dead line so maybe Beds owners club in three weeks.

Re-striping next week, only got drivers seat in now, passenger side runners were Fuxxed, all original interior is still at shop waiting to be started (he's a very busy man...)

got it running a bit better, air screws were right in so kept flooding on tickover!!!

exhast is a bit lox and scrapes over drive so she may have to go up a bit.

After numerouse problems getting the engin to run properly it's discovered plugs 1 & 2 are touching the piston if screwed in with electrodes facing up,
another set of plugs then...

now runns a lot sweeter

Been out in it yesterday, in the rain...
engine is very lumpy, not running quite right yet but enough to get by with
handles quite well just got to play with shock settings and tracking

brakes are bloody good (realy shows how bad the 4dr ones are lol)

It's wierd, everybody looks at it as you go past, if i park it up people stand by it and just look at it

Nearly there....

Rolling road finished today, they'll only say its 100% better than before.
i can collect tomorrow afternoon ater they set tracking/camber

faults found:-
blocked float chamber on 1st carb
fuel pressure too high
carb gaskets x2 ripped new set fitted with spring washers
timing 20deg out
cam timing out
cam rollower (1x) set with no gap
new battery is SH*T needs replacing
Ashley exhast blowing on lower joint (get gassed when playing in engine bay)


if everythings ok i'll be taking it to essex meet tomorrow:occasion5:

Collected the beast today, running a little high on tickover but it drives so much better now, may need to get a rev limiter....

gotta be booked in again he's not happy the engine's tight and not run in yet, do some miles loosen it up a bit and then re-test it.

he wont give me a power figure as yet coz he's not finished with it

Just got back, great night, good run both ways

sits well at 80ish, may have a problem with starter motor not dissengaging and clutch pedal went a bit tight but went back after 5 min driving!!!!

fuel not too bad either so now just gotta put some miles on it:):):):):)

the clutch cable's not getting hot is it? car looks really good:)

clutch cable definatley sticking.
keep prodding it before starting and it free's up.

what's best to lube up, WD40/Gear oil?
