lol @ u load of vultures
he was ran by xs racin but i think the car was brought from marcus dodd not that long ago but the car has been in the m sport factory
Nae wonder the four link boxes fell out. He makes speedboats!!!!!
used 2 now hes on 2 helicopter i think
quote from event website 'Wilson went up a fire-break at high speed damaging the rear axle mountings too much to continue. Wilson was "gutted" not to finish although he went on to say about competing on the event "I feel like I’ve never been away".
car didnt look to damaged to me i was their !!!!!!!!!
but axle had top link bars ripped out of shell !!!!!!!!!
i bet that was the first/ second rally that shell had done since being prep'd at mr lepley's cos marcus dodd wrote it off last time
but never mind i wouldn't spend any more money with prepfab !!!!!!
our rally car is a prepfab shell i may put it in the paper !!!!!!
but on a better note malcom is still king of the woods
cant wait for next year proper speccy's no weekend warriors need apply !!!!!!!!!!!! or the :agimp:
David suttons shells are prep'd by gartrac. and engine by millingtons ( i built it) my claim to fame.
The car used by malcolm was a prepfab shell and was most definatly not at fault, malcolm put the car into a fire break and got off lightly to be fair.
there was a lot of damage to the car. it was a credit to the shells strength.

Is that a frying pan Wilf has there Rickster :blackeye:
i was there too! malcolms car was damaged on the underside he went over a load of tree stumps, the rack was damaged he bent steering arms, ripped the four link boxes from the floor etc etc.
The car (owned by steve perez) is going back to prepfab to be repaired.
Im just glad that the event went ahead and i look forward to next year's.
The sound of so many nice bd powered escort's in the forest gave me goosebumps.
i suppose they will reweld the watts linkage towers back on while their at it !!!!!! shame malcolm was going so well but poor shell !!!!!!! ah well i know where not to spend me money thou
neil defo is found it at croft with a dint in it !!!!!!! do we need to finger print it ?? :blackeye:
The watts linkage system was originally designed for tarmac use and is a very succesfull set up on tarmac, and has also proved so in the forest until now ( but to be fair malcolm was driving the car hard).
The car is having the rear susp set up changed to use leaf springs etc.
When looking for a company to prepare my own mk2 shell i chose prepfab,
and would recomend them to anyone, the shell preperation, fabrication ,and welding is excellent, and to those who know about escort rally preperation there's only a handfull of company's capable of work like that.
Malcolm was very happy with the car and i was told he said it was a credit to prepfab.
our mk2 rally car was also done their wouldnt use em again thou !!!!!!
in hindsight is always better !!!! if i knew now what i did back then , and all that jazz :blackeye: you live and learn
So you rally a mk 2 then? what spec is she ? and what events have you done, i may know the car.
More importantly what engine's in her?
:bounce:
tarmac car got a 16v astra engine in will find some pics somewhere

Malcolm Wilson car is back at prepfab for repairs, after what happened to the car, l do'nt think it matters who built it, the same damage would have happened, and l agree prepfab do a great job
