Well if that's what it looks like after shot blasting it's obviously a pretty solid shell as there doesn't seem to be that many holes.

If i was you i would get it in primer as soon as possible, they go brown very quickly after blasting.

car is back now just booked it in for its paint job and it goes in 17.1.05 and will be done by the 30.1.05 and he will let me use his ramp to put the engine and box and back axal in so i hope the car will be done by march i hope.
well its still getting loads spent on it i have just spent just £1678.95
with burton :cheese:

to date it has cost me £21000.00 yes thats £21000.00
thats for all the concourse parts aswell
and for all the engine work aswell

2.1 2.25 oversize
stage 3 big valve burton head
lightend and balanced ..
crank
rods
pistons
flywheel
full race oil pump
then its got twin 45s on the side
it will be good for about 170 bhp....i hope
there are all the other parts to make it into a road car aswell
so it all stands me in £21000.00........thats alot for a mk2 escort
but if you take of the nice show bits then it stands me in £12000.00....

its a bit of the light and the stone chip under it is black
the one i asked to be put on is a VAG one and you can only get it in black
so thats why it looks a bit cream...... :cheers:

In actual fact, I picked the microfiche picture which was the clearest as there are pics for all variants.
The routing of the flex hose and the short connecting pipe is the same for all versions. The routing shown is also the same for all the RS2000's I've owned. Flex hose enters the mounting flange on the strut from below. Rigid connecting pipe exits going up from the flange and then descends to the brake caliper.
Looking good Paul! I know this is probably a really stupid point but I take it your axle is going to miss the Facet pump when it's fully compressed, It's just that it looks real close in the pictures but still very nice!!

there are no mod's to the car apart from the battery tray that is the only thing that has been cut down but if i sell her i have got a new genuine ford tray to put in it befor she go's....but she is NOT forsale well not today anyway.....lol

Can anyone post some pics or advise what are the correct type of fixings to secure the cam cover to the front of the engine. Mine was removed and i'm not sure how many fixings there should be or where they go !!

i got the car on all 4 wheels today and pushed her out into the sunshine
the back end is sitting spoton now its got some weight in it
i have just got to do the
head lights
f bumper
nose cone
indicators
both front seats
the pin stripe's
and a good clean
then its on the rollers
the tracking
then mot
then tax
then 500m run in
then a full check over
then fast rolling road tune up
then have some fun.....lol

its going on the rollers the monday befor stanford and back on them on the friday for tthe final tune so it looks like i will be at stanford hall.... :)

i have now lost all intrest in my car i got the nose cone out of my other garage only to find the paint was still soft and the same with the bonet
i spoke to the paint shop and they have got the same problem with a set of scania panels they was sent a batch of out of date plastersizer
and that stop the paint from going of so iam now p****d right of
i now dont want to work on the car so it will sit there until i feel like doing it as if i try now i will take a hammer to it......
so it looks like my show seson is no more at the mo.......
I know the feeling mate... explain in a PM. But I'm focused to get the car done for RSOC National day

paul i know it's crap dude but thats life you've got to stay positive and keep going. i'd kill to have a car as potentially nice as yours but all my dough is going into a house extension. Things go wrong with big projects ( i broke my wrist 2 weeks into ours and only out of plaster a week) but if u stay positive things get sorted and u look back and laugh later on!! Keep chin up mate!! :cheers:
