:( hit a bit of a problem body shop is closing down and moving locations, so bodyshell still being worked on slowly, not looking like I will see it again until mid - end January. Bit of a pain but they couldnt get it up on the rollover jig until it was moved to their new place.

Gives me a bit of time to get the wheels and engine done.......now got to find some 235 / 50 / R13's

April deadline is begining to get a bit worrying now.

Still stuck at the bodyshop, I have to phone again this weekend to see what the current status is. Last time I saw her she was in a sorry state with the x-pack kit off and bulk of the paint removed.

I dont want to rush them though so I will just have to wait a little longer :)

I used to get lifts with a guy who worked for Emap Automotive who had an black Sierra Cossie... not sure if it was an RS500 though. It was awesome however.. til it got nicked :( bastards

OK bit of a disaster, been to bodyshop and car wont be ready until end February :( getting it ready for end of April is looking even more difficult now :(

The good new is that it is being done properly so it should be worth the wait.

Never got any pictures, will try again in 2 weeks.

Oh well gives me time to get the engine and other bits completed.

:cheers: Good news, just off the phone to the bodyshop guy and he has now quit his job so he can concentrate on his "private" jobs, DDA is first on the list for completing and he hopes to have it finished by end of the month.

Gives me a whole 3 - 4 weeks to get her ready for Aberdeen show lol, guess National Day is a more realistic target now :blackeye:

Took a trip up to the bodyshop today :) 3hr round trip so I dont get up very often ;)

Car hasnt moved on a huge amount, as at present all the time is being taken to get the outside as perfect as possible, this includes rebuilding the xpack kit in certain areas just to get the correct feel to the panel :)

Also everything is being done by hand so its all slow but far more care is being taken than just blasting :) although 7 coats of paint on some panels is making this a long task.

The good news is that the delay in the shell is probably working in my favour now as it gives me time to get every other small detail correct and all new parts the best possible, anyway here are some pics, car is covered in dust so not the clearest pictures.

Bah decided to chase up engine today, wish I hadnt bothered as they were waiting on my call. The bad news engine is ****ed, good news is that the head is repairable but thats the only bit..........oh well I best wave goodbye to another large wad of cash.

Spoke to the bodyshop today and body is a bit further forward but not much, should be on roll over jig next week or so to start on the underneath, this will also free up the suspension etc so I can get it refurbed.

Engine should be ready this weekend for its dyno run :cheers:

Would be moving a lot quicker if the bodyshell was back, with it missing it tends to drain the motivation.

Couldnt get CD to work, installed ok but just wouldnt work kept poping up with an error, tried win 95, 98, 2000 and xp still nothing :(

So 2004 it left for 1st bodyshop, sat for 3 years, moved to another place and it sat for a year, so I took her back and now in a local place for 2 weeks we have some major movement :)

New front panel, new floor pans, new rear panel, doors fixed :) nose currently being cleaned and repaired so all the backwards progress made by other bodyshops has been repaired and seriously moved forward..... estimated time for completion 2 - 3 weeks back in my hands eek :D well pleased :)

Not yet, on the to do list, and the nose cone was also beyond repair so sorting out another, but with the shell back in my garage at long last I can start sticking bits back on :)

Rocker cover needs to come off and be replaced also proper series X filter will be fitted instead of K&Ns

Next on list is getting the wiring in and firing her up, once rolling we will finish off the cosmetics and fit interior etc.

Would be on its wheels now but think I have the wrong disks for the callipers so need to swap them out this week. Bits for windows and a small piece of the loom are biggest headache but hopefully pick up in the week and then its time to fit nose and off to paintshop to clean up up some small bits :)

Not quite yet, had a few niggly things holding up like missing down pipe, roof lining etc. but that's all sorted now so should be nearly there. I'm away for work for a week or so but plan to head to Sitech when I get back :) hopefully will be running and ready for MOT around then.

Waiting on a few bits, but while waiting the cam cover was replaced

Exhaust is on
Hoses are on (almost)
Fuel system is fitted except for a small hose that's perished
Rad had to come back out as I forgot to get the fan switch, now on way though :)
Hole cutter should be taken to bonnet soon for locks to go on ;)

Nearly there, just the small bits that take ages :D especially when parts have gone missing over the last 6 years.....

Aye need to make the final push :) going to make sure I get her finished before Xmas, could be sooner but my paintshop has a 8 week waiting list at present so nose may take a little time to get painted up. Your car is looking good, not much worse than mine got thanks to the bodyshops :)

Mechanically she is done, nose cone and a few bits of paint to tidy up then there are a few bits I want to change over winter once bodyshop is complete (like wheel refurb)
