What's a complete rear light cluster including body and lens cost nowadays for a standard, in-production Focus? Is £50 really THAT expensive for a 30 year old 'rare' part?
As it is becoming an obsession these days to discuss people and prices paid for new Ford parts I thought I would add an interesting point.
If you get chance to look at a microfiche pull out the price list slide. For some parts Ford charged prices you really had to sit down for. Many of these parts have been NLA for some time.
I am happy to provide some interesting examples if it makes some people feel better.
I would be very unhappy if I was ever referred to as foolish or possesed especially on the internet.
CheeRS,
Joe.

After the last round on this subject, I think Joe's right. By all means, let's "Ahhh!" and "Ooooh" about the prices but it's really the buyer's decision what he pays and that depends on his personal needs and he shouldn't be slagged off at all.
EBay is for me a case of swings and roundabouts. I sometimes pick up stuff at phenomenally low prices and a lot cheaper than when the bits were new! My last item shot on eBay was a brand new NOS steering rack complete original Ford and I got it for €41! (=£28)!
Last time we all got dragged into a slanging match and bun-fight (me, too!) Let's not go down that slippery road again, lads!

To be fair to all concerned Ebay is not a "Private" auction site.
If an item on Ebay fetches "high" prices then it is open for all who view that item to see the "market" price achieved.
I have won bargains and also sold bargains - I personally have no problem people "discussing" my tradings !
Please try not, in future to pass comment on peoples trading if they do not have the ability to reply.
By all means take the "P" out of your MATES - I always do !
A final thought is this :-
If I have the Ebay sale for what you want and you have the money I want then between us we do a deal BUT if someone bids more then they Win !
If they pay more than what you wanted to pay then sorry they win !
