Hi.

I have a 1979 mk2 RS2000 custom which was originally beige.

It has the brown fishnet recaros and beige headling etc but has a black dashboard.

is this normal?

Unfortunatly someone has sprayed it sunburst red.

ive seen a biege interiored car with black dash, i suppose the colour options were the buyers so why not ?

It would have to be 1979! Here goes.

Chocolate 76 interior (light brown not beige/tan) available from Sept 1978 until mid 1979.
Chocolate brown interior (dark brown) available from mid 1979.

A choc 76 interior will have a black glovebox, clock pod, dash top, steering wheel, switch panel etc.

A choc brown will have these items in dark brown.

just beat me too it , chocolate 76 does indeed have black dash etc , not many about with this combination anymore , I ripped it out of OEC902V and replaced with all black.
